Understory Harvest is a small family-owned apiary based in Haymarket, Virginia and serving Northern Virginia. Pickup is arranged directly; the website does not publish a walk-in apiary address.

The live shop lists current honey, pollen, propolis, seasonal nucleus-colony and queen reservations, and other available offerings. Inventory changes with the season, so the shop is the authoritative availability source.

Select local pickup only when checkout offers it for your order. Understory Harvest will coordinate the pickup details directly. Do not arrive without confirmation.

For eligible products, checkout is configured with a $9.95 Virginia flat-rate option and a $24.95 USPS flat-rate option for addresses outside Virginia. The exact method shown for the cart and address at checkout is authoritative.

Do not assume nucleus colonies or queens can be shipped. Their availability, pickup timing and fulfillment conditions are seasonal; contact Understory Harvest before ordering if the product page or checkout is not explicit.

Crystallization is a normal physical change in honey and does not by itself mean the honey is spoiled. Store honey sealed and dry at room temperature; review the honey storage guide for more detail.

Honey, pollen, propolis and other bee products can cause reactions in some people. Do not give honey to infants under 12 months, and consult a qualified clinician before use if you have relevant allergies or medical concerns.
